New Napkin Ring Kits from Moore Stitching

New from Moore Stitching--napkin ring kits.

Looks like she uses Aileen's Clear Gel Tacky Glue to attach the finished needlepoint.

Smart Cookie of the Month Award

The Smart Cookie Award goes to a customer at Needleharts who staples a bit of felt to the top of her stretcher bars to use as a place to park her needles.  I know everyone doesn't like using magnets as needle minders;  this is a great way to keep your needles handy and safe if you don't like using magnets or don't happen to have a magnet handy.

By the way, the Nancy Drew book cover canvas is from Moore Stitching.

Ten Favorite Stitches from Moore Stitching

Moore Stitching just posted their ten favorite stitches (with diagrams and hints) here.

Moore Stitching doesn't ring a bell?  Bet you've seen some of the British royal canvases from this terrific designer, though.  Have fun exploring!

Instructions for Self-Finishing Compacts

Moore Stitching sells compact kits with a variety of canvas designs and the compact itself.  This is the initial design with leaves but there are many more available.

Here is how they are assembled.  When you buy the compact kit, you get self-finishing instructions included, but it's nice to have some idea before you buy.

By the way, I use Aleene's Tacky Glue which dries clear in an hour.  It's a useful item to have in your stitching tool box.

Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with Needlepoint UPDATED

Are you celebrating the 70th year of Queen Elizabeth II's reign?  If so, and you needlepoint, Moore Stitching's celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's 70th year on the throne is lovely.

She's got a great Queen Elizabeth silhouette, too.

We wish Her Majesty good health and good luck in the coming year.

UPDATES:  Kate Dickerson has added a portrait of HRH to her line, and...

...Kirkland Design Studio has new England-themed needle minders.

Raymond Crawford has some wonderful British themes, too.
