Free Nutcracker Designs

Abigail Cecile has a new free Christmas download chart of Clara and her nutcracker.

They are an adorable pair.  If you are into finishing your ornaments, Abigail Cecile sells some beautiful finishing kits that would look great with these.

The Nutcracker Mystery (hosted by Ruth Schmuff)

Ruth Schmuff has revealed the mystery class she'll do this Christmas—Eleanor Grosch's abstract "The Nutcracker."
https://bedeckedandbeadazzled.com/2018/10/the-nutcracker/

As always, the physical classes are at Bedecked and Beadazzzled in the Baltimore suburbs but you can participate via mail order.  Once the class is over and Ruth's had time to update the instructions with any changes or clarifications that the class pointed out, she'll mail you the kit for that class.

Christmas fun is guaranteed!

I'll update this article with Ruth's class reports after each of the December 2018 get-togethers.

UPDATE #1:  The tree!

Christmas and Needlepoint

I've always liked Anne Stradal's Nutcracker ornament set.  Mer's been busy stitching ornaments.

Anne Stradal has finally revealed her ornament set for the Nutcracker Ballet. Aren't they wonderful?!

I think the finishing is perfect.  All we need is a little music from Tchaikovsky....

ABS Designs the Nutcracker

For many of us, the Christmas season isn't complete until we see The Nutcracker ballet in performance.  If you live where there is no local ballet company nearby, you can still enjoy it via Anne Stradal of ABS Designs who is designing a series of ornaments based on Tchaikovsky's music for the ballet.  The series starts here with Herr Drosselmeyer.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page past the Comments, then click on "Newer Post" to see the second and third ornaments.  Delightful!
