Before we knew Robin King as the teacher we all want to study under, she and Pat Ryan were the geniuses behind Amy Bunger's "How You Do That?" series of videos.  These videos are still available and still useful.  After all, they show the magic behind Amy's wonderful classes, kits and guides.  Robin has done us a favor by profiling the DVD collections so you can pick just the one you really really want.

Tiger Tiger's Needle Felting in Public: Other Resources UPDATED

Folks who are interested in needle felting need only look at the late Wendy Harwood's work for inspiration.  Look at her interpretation of the John Johannsen animals in a boat piece.  The chipmunk and squirrel are needle felted.

Both Sandy Arthur and Amy Bunger say to use only a little wool roving at a time.  Remember this when you start your first (or next) needle felting project!

UPDATE:  Ruth Schmuff just published her needle felted squirrel (this is her current mystery class) with her four quick and easy rules for needle felting.  You can sign up for the class now or do it later. Ruth's mystery classes are available after the class ends and the mystery is "solved."

Shop Newsletter Fun

Amy Bunger's shop newsletter appeared right on time yesterday but because I already had so many articles, I didn't post the link until today. This month Amy shows off some of her past Home Study kits and describes the DVD series that she collaborated with Robin King, Tony Minieri and Kelly Clark on.  And of course there is a diagrammed stitch and lots of new magnets to drool over.  Enjoy!

Ruth Schmuff's shop newsletter also was on time.  (I'm the only tardy one in the bunch.  Sigh.)  Hers is full of information on using DMC's memory thread.  Kreinik has a wired metallic called Hot Wire that all Ruth's tips will work nicely for in case you need a sparkly wire instead of a cotton floss covered one.
