Three Dog Couch

Ridgewood Needlepoint is showing off dog pillows and an ornament for their Friday Finishing posting. The pillows are all finished differently but they look magnificent together on the shop couch.

That's partly because the dog pillows are all from Labors of Love, who also have created the cat designs you'll see down at the bottom of Ridgewood's page.  I've seen custom dog portraits done in the same style that are gorgeous.

I wish I knew who created the black lab ornament because it is lovely, very well stitched and finished and a good design to boot!

Makes me want to get another dog, or at least stitch one.

Hand Health

Sharp-eyed Wendy noticed this article from Nordic Needle about hand health and passed it along to me.  Not much is worse than developing arthritis or repetitive stress injuries that keep us from our stitching so I hope you'll read through the article and use the tips to minimize problems.

One Fat Caterpillar

Kimberly is stitching some of her small designs to use for a class at Black Sheep in Orlando.   She wanted to use a certain thread but it's been discontinued.  So she had to improvise and came up with rows of bullions in two colors of Petite Very Velvet.  Looks like one big fat caterpillar!

Blacks and Blues

Today I have two articles for you--one about a new silk line that the Needleart Nut is going to stitch with (blacks) and the other a different color ways for a Debbie Rowley (DebBee's Designs) that Jan took (the blues although it probably should be called aquas).
