The Royal School's Stitch of the Day for Christmas 2023

The Royal School of Needlework is counting down the days until Christmas with their 25 Elizabethan Stitches calendar.  These are stitches from the 16th and early 17th Century, diagrammed with help from Jacqui Carey, who is an expert in historical embroideries of the Elizabethan period.

The RSN Stitch Bank is a fabulous resource for stitch videos and step-by-step explanations.

Holiday Decorating Ideas

Stitch by Stitch in Larchmont, NY has posted lots of holiday decorating ideas in their newest newsletter.  This makes it easy to come up with ideas for needlepoint decorations if you are in the mood or if you don't decorate for the holidays, it's a fun way to see what the people who do have come up with.  Either way, it's a great way to spend a little time with some superb eye candy!
