Looking Back at 2024's Projects

I don't look back at my past year's stitching but many stitchers do.  It's always fun to see what they have accomplished.  Here is Brenda's listing for Brenda's Needlepoint Studio.

Melita Glavin has been really productive, too!

And The Needleart Nut has gotten a lot done.

Congratulations, ladies!

Needlepoint Now's 2024 Projects

If you enjoyed the Layers of Leaves wreath project in Needlepoint Now magazine this year, you'll want to check out the two projects the magazine plans for 2024.

Use the right side arrow to see the second.  One is a counted project and the other is a painted canvas with the guide to stitching it in the magazine.

Various Stash Projects, Courtesy of Anna Pearson

After you've been stitching a while, you can end up with odds and ends of threads. What to do?  Anna has the answer—stash projects!

Anna has quite a few designs suitable for using up many colors of thread but you can also visit the free projects available online.  The big thread companies have great free projects.  Here is Caron's website.  Besides the projects link below, look at Designer Spotlights and Online Classes to see more fun things to stitch from your stash.

Here are the free charts from Rainbow Gallery.

Finally, the Stitch of the Month projects from the American Needlepoint Guild are classics and a great way to learn while you use up excess threads.  (Hopefully all the former projects will be available again soon as ANG builds out their new website.)

Thought For the Day - Believing in UFOs

Yes, Mary Corbet believes in UFOs -- unfinished objects!  Only she calls them UPs and she thinks they are a very good thing.  Here's why.
