The Lady in the Bath

I didn't know Etsy had a blog until today when I stumbled across this "short story" on it.   Let me introduce you to the Lady in the Bath.

The Lady in the Bath pillow is still available.  She belongs to the Etsy store called
KasiaUrbanRybska and appears to be of Polish origins.  Click on the shop name in the right hand column to see more.https://www.etsy.com/listing/87664551/handmade-artcraft-needlepoint-lady-in?ref=storque

Sudu's Tips on Cording on Canvas

Sue is working on a great Melissa Shirley canvas from a friend's stash and has some great ideas about using twisted cord on it that will work for many canvases with similar items--reins, blowing hair, flower stalks--all sorts of things!

Norden Crafts Online Needlework Show UPDATED

Norden Crafts will have an online needlework show for cross stitch, counted thread and counted canvaswork August 10-19.
http://nordencrafts.com/C-1418/Norden-Fall-Show-2015.aspx

They appear to be using their Facebook page (link below) to start promoting items that will be for sale.  I think you can buy directly but I'm not certain.

UPDATE: Sara Leigh says this--
"Norden sells wholesale only. However, this appears to be run in the same way that the Needlework Show, an online only show, is run. People can view the show and contact their local needlework shop or one of the ones listed as participating on Norden's show page to place their orders. It's the Consumer Information button: http://nordencrafts.com/C-1422/Consumer-Information.aspx. "

Many thanks, SL!

Visit Birthe One More Time August 7-19, 2015

Thanks to Pat, I have a link to a description of the August 7 - 19 exhibition and sale of Birthe Andersen's stitching at the Clay Glass Metal Stone Cooperative Gallery in Lake Worth, Florida. Proceeds of the sale of Ms. 's stitching go to benefit Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease research.
http://www.southflorida.com/sf-birthe-andersen-lake-worth-20150806-story.html

It's a great cause and great celebration of a great stitcher, teacher and shop owner.  I hope everyone in the area gets to attend.
