Breaking News: A Collection of Designs Sold

Apparently Janet Burnett of A Collection of Designs has sold her company to the conglomerate that owns Needlepoint.com, Kirk and Hamilton, and Elizabeth Bradley Designs. I'm told the new entity is being referred to as Kirk and Bradley and Burnett in advertising, but on the ACOD website it is called Burnett and Bradley.

Destination Dallas

Destination Dallas is a non-TNNA wholesale only trade show for needlepoint and associated supplies, where the shops and the people who supply them gather in a hotel in Dallas and have fun running from suite to suite, checking out the newest items and placing orders. Some things are cash and carry, which means a few days after the September 26-28 show, your shop owner will pull him- or herself together and drag tons of new goodies into the shop.  Other things will appear over the fall as orders are filled.  You can read a bit about what is planned here.

UPDATE: Jane G. reminded me of the Access Commodites skin tone kits.  They come in a clear plastic box with instructions on how to use them written by Tony Minieri.   Jane says each set comes with a wide variety of silks.You can see them on the Access Commodities website but you'll have to click on "Silk Thread Kits" and then on "Access Commodites Skin Tones" to see them.
