Shopping Needlepoint on Etsy

Horse Country Chic loves shopping for needlepoint items on Etsy.  Of course a lot of her favorites are horse-themed because she's in Horse Country and she rides, but her finds give you a taste of what might be available if you hunt a little.

Fun at Jenny Henry's

A local Baltimore style e-newpaper has profiled Jenny Henry's classes on needlepoint.  It sounds like great fun!

If you are intrigued by her needlepoint cuff, visit Jenny's website to see all her DIY jewelry designs.

Many thanks to Hillside Needlepoint for drawing my attention to the news article.

An Original Design UPDATED AGAIN

Orna Willis shows off original design that her students have created.  They're not finished and are still evolving, but it shows how effective Orna's design classes are in creating original works of art.

Amy's Golden Strand Newsletter for June-July 2018

The shop e-newsletter for Amy Bunger's shop is chock-full of fun as usual.  Besides news about Amy and Lori Carter's newest classes, clubs and stitch guides, you can see new products like thread bowls and small chains for embellishment, and read a review of Carolyn Hedge Baird's newest book.  Amy has also a new feature where she talks about canvases that present problems in stitching.  It's fascinating to get a glimpse into how Amy looks at painted canvases.  So what are you waiting for?  Go read!

The Tulip Beading Awl

The Japanese company Tulip apparently has what they describe as beading awls. They look like regular awls for enlarging holes to me.  Carmen posted a photo of hers on Facebook.

If you have need of such a tool, they are not very expensive.  They also might make nice laying tools.  The handles come in various colors:  pink, mint green, navy, and gray.  They appear to be a bit over five inches long and Carmen says the handles are soft with a depressed area to make them easier to hold.
