The Enriched Stitch just opened and already they are taking sign ups for classes. The really neat thing is that they allow folks to sit in on class remotely via Skype. Skype stitching classes! Wonderful! I do hope that the trend is taken up.
I specifically recently bought a webcam wuith a magnificent zoom. Only $19 from Ebay. Works like a charm sharing my work with my embroidery friends on Skype.
Isn't that great?! I use Skype to call family and we enjoy many a chat with the grandkids this way, so I am hoping many classes take up the Skype route for adding folks who can't travel to their student roster.
I can't wait to try this out! We use Skype all winter long with my parents and in-laws. It's the next best thing to talking with someone face to face. Why not give it a try with needlepoint classes? This way it's an interactive learning tool, as opposed to just watching a video. Call The Enriched Stitch for more details. I'm looking for a few brave souls to test this out!
As a person who can't travel often and who doesn't live anywhere near a shop, Skype classes are a real enticement. Good luck with this and maybe I'll see you in class!
