Cabbage Row Purchased by Needlepoint.com

Charleston's iconic Cabbage Row needlepoint store has changed hands.

The shop is now owned by Needlepoint.com and reopened last Monday, Feb. 28th.  If you are in Charleston, make sure you visit.  Of course if you are in North Caroline, instead of South Carolina, you can visit Needlepoint.com at their store in Raleigh.

UPDATE: Here's a bit about the Needlepoint.com Charleston shop under Needlepoint.com's ownership.

A Needlepoint Bow Tie

Interested in stitching a bow tie?  The Nimble Needle in Atlanta carries a wide selection.

Cabbage Row in Charleston, SC also carries them.

If you want your favorite shop to order for you, apparently Julia's Needleworks has a variety of designs.

Jane Nichols has three part bow ties.

Of course your friendly shop may have an artist who can do something really special just for you.

Do You Love Basket Totes?

The tote bags that Cabbage Row Shoppe (and others) sell to have monogrammed designs painted and attached are a big hit on Facebook.  If your favorite shop doesn't stock these summery basket totes, you can order them online.

And of course any small canvas can be attached to the front.  You don't have to go with the classic round monogram ornament.

A Belt and a Basket

Mary Agnes shows off a very clever use of a belt canvas with a basket tote.

If you fall in love, contact Mary Agnes at her shop, Needle Nicely, to see if she has any baskets left.  If you ask nicely, she'll help you pick out a belt to go with.

By the way, apparently Cabbage Row in Charleston, SC has the baskets also.  Here is what they did with Patricia's monogram ornament. Apparently the shop sells the baskets and will paint the monogram for you and attach it when you are done stitching.
