Stitch Pink in October

Enriched Stitch is organizing a breast cancer fund raiser in October for the shops to host using three new Stitch Pink designs: One from Suzie at Vallerie Needlepoint Gallery, one from Melissa Prince and one from Two Sisters.  They are announcing it now so that stitchers and shops can pre-order.  Each design comes with a full kit and stitch guide by Suzie Vallerie.  It's a fun way to stitch towards a cure for breast cancer.

Coffee (and Tea) with Friends

Jolly Red is participating in a cancer fund raiser in England run by McMillian called World's Biggest Coffee Morning.  They are relatively rural so they have created a new design called "Coffee with Friends, " a portion of the sales of which go to McMillian's charity.

Fighting Cancer with Needlepoint

Most of us know someone who has had or is currently struggling with breast cancer. Because it is such a wide-spread disease, many NP companies, stores and designers have fund-raising efforts.

Whatever you do to help find a cure for breast cancer, get yourself screened for the type of cancer that strikes your sex most. Remember, it's just been a year since my very dear sister-in-law discovered she has breast cancer and almost 15 years since my oldest and bestest friend underwent surgery for the same. Both are doing very well, but early detection helps a lot.

Get tested. Don't wait. I want you around to stitch plenty more with me!
