Someone asked on Facebook for ideas for portable storage ideas for threads and tools. There are a ton of stitchers happy to help out. Here is Mary's favorite--The Fold and Go Notions Box.

I love storing threads and tools in the smaller sizes of Ashland Sky bags, my stitch guide or small books into the Project Bag, then everything plus my canvas on its stretcher bars into the Classic Tote.

If you don't need the waterproof protection of the Ashland Sky bag, the Walker Bag mesh totes are very useful.

If you just want a tool case, Needlepoint Tool Time has you covered with this. Sorry, you have to supply the tools!

This should get you started finding the right portable storage item for your next travel adventure with stitching in tow.

Folks are preparing for the TNNA trade show in Blatimore. If you are a magnet and fb collector, you'll want to see the new Mag Friends perfume bottle magnets and the Tiffany box which will be released there.

Sandy Arthur's third Shapes book is out. If you are curious about it, PFOS offers a peek inside.

The Needle Bug has Walker bags in-house, lots of them! They are going to run the shop at Callaway next year and are stocking up on goodies.

Finally, The World in Stitches has some lovely new acrylic needle cases and laying tools. Looking at the needle cases, wouldn't this be a great way to always have spare needles handy on your key chain?

How I Know It Is Spring

I always know when it is Spring in Chilly Hollow despite the weather. All I have to do is look at what folks are showing on their blogs. Laura Perin has pulled out a lovely floral quilt block pattern from her archives to tempt us.

Ruth Schmuff is showing off pastel snap trays and project bags on her blog. Don't they make you think Spring? They make wonderful gifts, both to stitching friends and to yourself as a little treat.

Stephanie has almost finished her Petei Town Crier canvas. It makes me think Boston which brings the Boston Marathon and Patriot Day (both celebrated on the third Monday in April) to mind.

Three definite signs of spring!
