I just realized that Art Needlepoint (which specializes in fine art printed on needlepoint canvas), has a good many laptop, tablet and eReader covers you can stitch and then assemble yourself. If finishing isn't your forte', the company will assemble the cover or case for you for an extra charge.

Important Safety Tip

When I noticed that Diane just bought a cover for her magnifier, it reminded me that a friend just had her magnifier burn a hole in a cushion. Diane's new cover is from Carol Eix Designs (second link), but you can make one yourself fairly easily or just drape a large handkerchief over the glass when your magnifier isn't in use.
