Amy's shop newsletter is out for August-September and it is full of news! Not only does Amy reveal her new Home Study of four canvases based on the story of Scheherazade and the 1001 Arabian Nights, she shows off two new stitch guides that are newly available and two new stitch guides that are underway. Plus there are new magnets and a magnetic laying tool, and Amy announced her Amy's Book Club for 2015. The first "book" in the series is the Mystery of Needlepoint. No, I have no idea what this means, either, Amy, you are SUCH a tease!

The new format is full of photographs (What are those Campbell soup cans for on page four?), trunk show and sale dates, an analysis of a wonderful little snowman canvas that they are offering a stitch guide for, links to their Facebook photo album of finished projects, a color book review, and more!

The designer SharonG sent me this link to a lecture on how the Internet has impacted hand made items in the arts and crafts world. It touches on copyright theft, but really it's about how we are losing creativity through endless sources of information and access to informed critiques that will help us do better in our chosen art.
