Ruth Schmuff just announced the Christmas mystery class in her online shop--David Galchuff's "Determining Natughty or Nice" Santa. Mr. Galchuff is a new artist whose artwork Ruth is distributing on needlepoint canvas. I'll update this article as Ruth starts showing off progress reports once class starts in November.

The Just A Thought Floor Frame

Judy Odell's Just A Thought (JAT) floor stand holds your stitching on top of the side arms. For those who just like picking up and putting down their stitching, this might be a good option. I think these are called trestle style frames. The framed stitching just rests on top.

Judy also sells a lap stand for those who prefer that style of frame. You hold it steady by sitting on it.

Louise's Needlework has a lovely essay about using chain stitch on needlepoint canvas in their latest shop newsletter. She talks about beards and hair, substitutes for fur and of course how to make the perfect plant material with chain stitches. Great information!
