Stephanie has been on a quick road trip and managed to visit Chaparral in Houston with her camera. Her snaps are better than the ones your friends are trying to show you of the Grand Canyon, trust me!

Linda is stitching a Christmas train and has some wonderful Kathy Schenkel Halloween ornaments finished to show off, plus a Kelly Clark pear. I love the dimensional look.

I love this little kitten stocking. Isn't it charming?

How about this baseball player ornament? Perfect for the fan in your life and beautifully finished with a bead that looks a bit like a baseball at the base of the hanging loop.

Row of Ladies Mystery with a Twist Finished (and Started!) UPDATED
Ruth Schmuff just finished her first Mystery with a Twist canvas, a series of six Asian ladies, all in fancy outfits. Ruth decided that some folks enjoy relaxed mystery classes that are more than a few months long and which aren't really set to any deadline. This is the result.

UPDATE: Ruth has managed to talk Lee Designs into a companion piece. Six more ladies in fancy outfits! This will be an upcoming Mystery with a Twist piece for the shop. Email Ruth if you want to stitch the second row or if you never got around to the first row.

The next Mystery with a Twist is Melissa Shirley's Holiday Village. You can see it here about a third of the way down the page.

UPDATE: The Holiday Village is coming right along.

By the way, Ruth's regular mystery class (Hal Mayforth's Boo) is coming right along. Who would have thought to have little waving ghost hands!

Monthly Clubs and Stitch Guides
Labels:
blog,
monthly clubs,
stitch guides
I've been busy behind the scenes updating the Monthly Clubs section of Blog and adding information to the CH Stitch Guides blog. A lot of shops are adding monthly clubs right now so I decided as I added new clubs to the various sections (Christmas clubs, Halloween clubs, etc.) I would put the latest items on top in Hot Pink. Can't miss them now!
Just in time for Halloween, I mentioned a new Ladies of the Night stitch guide but there are other new items listed in the CH Stitch Guides blog. You can click on the magic carpet icon in the right hand column to visit the site. Clicking on the magic carpet icon there will bring you back here again.
Have fun browsing!

Mary Corbet is always ahead of the curve when it comes to new threads. In this article, she reviews Cosmo Sparkling Thread, which seems to be a Japanese import.
