Please note that I am away until at least 9 p.m. tonight, working as an election official so that folks in my county can vote in the Republican and Democratic primaries being run today. This means any emails you send me today or any comments you post to Blog won't show up or be answered until tomorrow at the earliest. I will be too exhausted to deal with them when I get home tonight since I have to get up at 3:30 a.m. to make it to the polls by 5 a.m. and cannot leave until all the paperwork is done and the ballots cast match the number of ballots handed out for both primaries.
Please go vote. The work behind the scenes is enormous but voting is essential to the smooth functioning of our democracy.

An Overview of Frames

Needle in a Haystack covers the various types of frames for needlework that are available in this interesting blog posting. Although the shop sells many types of frames, the owner usually stitches in hand without a frame so this is a generally unbiased report on what you can use. It's also very interesting--I had no idea that there was a wooden "square round" hoop available!

The bottom of the article has recommendations as to what type of frame works for what type of project. This should be very helpful for folks just starting to explore frames or who are venturing into a new type of handwork and want a frame recommendation. Many thanks to Needle in a Haystack for such useful information!
