The Pandemic Goes to Palm Beach

Thanks to Horse Country Chic, I read this interview with Jessica Chaney about her shop Lycette Palm Beath and the effect the coronavirus has had on her business.

How to Block a Stitched Canvas: The Movie

Barbara Williams has posted a video on YouTube to demonstrate blocking a canvas.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j06uMxauk9k&fbclid=IwAR1qOSCHkSrqh-EtAhny9ijanTNZUMPj_Z50fqgi7mqtYHECGJE69Hj7eYA

Note that this video is from the UK.  Here in the USA we often have different names for things and if putting glue on the back, we'd use rice paste glue or rabbit glue, not wallpaper paste, if we were using such.  (I never have and have only had one piece that it was impossible to make square.)

By the way, Sarah Beecham Design has a fun Facebook page to explore.

Woodlawn Exhibit Goes Online for 2020

The Woodlawn needlework exhibit for 2020 was postponed until August.  Melita has heard they have an online slide show available for download for a fee of $12.00 USD.

Here's the direct link.  This is only available until October 15, 2020, so if you are interested, move fast.

Thanks, Melita!

A Trip to Needlepoint for Fun

Melita's latest road trip was for the newish Needlepoint for Fun shop in Pennsylvania.
https://melitastitches4fun.wordpress.com/2020/09/04/needlepoint-for-fun-in-lititz-pa/

Needlepoint for Fun started out as an online only shop that imported a lot of English and Australian and New Zealand needlepoint projects.  They have a nice newsletter that comes out once a week, too. Or you can visit the How To section of their website.
