Sue Reed's Graphic Expressions Revealed

Anyone who has drooled over the ANG Seminar class descriptions has seen Sue Reed's work. She specializes in graphic designs that are beautiful and symmetrical.  Carol just finished "Graphic Expressions" from the 2012 ANG Seminar and posted photos of her colors and the original model.  Great stuff!

A New Thread and a Design to Come

Carol of Carol's Counted Canvaswork has some good news. She's going to be published in Inspirations magazine this fall.  Congratulations!  We will keep our eyes open for the issue.

Carol's also reporting on a thread that is new to me--cottons from 21st Century Yarns.  Browsing their website, they offer all sorts of threads and fabrics in lovely colors.  This is an English company so I am not sure how quickly you can get your mitts on these beauties but they certainly are something I will want to try.

New Scissors Protectors

Carol's found a new way to protect the tips of her scissors. She's recycling medical scissors protectors.  Time to beg anyone in the medical profession you know to check their supply closets for things they would ordinarily throw out to see if you can recycle them!  Carol's in Australia, however, so the brand name she mentions may not be available elsewhere.

Ridgewood has been showcasing older designs that are just as wonderful today as they were when they were first released.  Their Famous Women series (from Labors of Love ) can be paired with a matching frame.
