All About Button Covers: The Movie

You'll learn about button covers and how to assemble them.  Patty Paints started making button cover designs with the buttons included in 2020-21 but you don't have to use her designs.  You can buy the button cover hardware from places like Joann's Fabrics.  Dritz makes a variety of sizes.

The largest button covers available are 2 1/2 inches in diameter.   You'll use a three inch round piece of needlepoint for these.

If you want to glue a magnet on the back, look for 1 1/4 inch rare earth magnets (also known as neodymium magnets) and do use E6000 glue to attach the magnet as it's a glue that hold metal to metal very well.

Patty Paints Trunk Show UPDATED

Pocket Full of Stitches just posted a great many photos of painted canvases from Patty Paints.  This is a good chance to see the cheerful, bright and small canvases that are a Patty Paints specialty.  I particularly like the little pumpkins at the top of Part Two but there is something for almost everyone here.

Working My Way Back

I am inundated with chores here in Chilly Hollow, leaving me too tired to stitch at night.  This has gone on for nearly two weeks, but the end is in sight.  Last night I pulled out my Stars book and the threads for the next block and read through the instructions, thinking about what went where and if I wanted to change the threads Tony used for this section.  I also realized that the next block is not Marilyn Monroe as I thought (that was the first block!) but is actually Gregory Peck.  Boy, was I wrong!   But that is what happens when you are too busy to stitch.  You make mistakes.  I should be back on track tonight.  (I hope.)
