Diane and The ChurchMouse

Diane is on vacation, visiting needlepoint shops wherever she can. Yesterday she was at ChurchMouse Yarns and Teas on Bainbridge Island, Washington.  It looks like a very lovely time!

New from Eye Candy!

Ada Hayden has just posted about her newest designs for Eye Candy. This time she's added fairy tale themed designs and Christmas ornaments. Check out the Princess Cat and the Pea....

The Christmas ornaments will look fabulous when stitched but I can't wait to see what someone does with Rapunzel's hair.

New Designs, New Products

New things are popping up all over again, but without a trade show on the horizon, I thought I'd list them all here instead of starting a new TNNA Winter 2014 tab.   First, how about some wonderful new Mag Friends needle magnets from Accoutrement Designs?  I love the witch's cauldron with the green goo dripping down but you might be charmed by the Painted Pony angel magnets or Raymond Crawford's owls.

I don't think Clover Wonder Clips are new exactly but I'd never heard of them until Mary Corbet did a review.

Kimberly is designing and showing off hints.

Brenda Kocher is designing new things, too.

Needle Works has plenty of snap trays and beading snap trays in the shop.  They have coordinating fabrics and frame weights are also available.

Hope you enjoyed the newest of the new!

Bedecked and Beaddazzled E-Newsletter Fun

Ruth Schmuff's October newsletter is ready for viewing and it is chock full of classes and clubs. However, the best part for me is Ruth's little essay on the Stitch of the Month, which is brick stitch.  Boring, you say?  Not after Ruth gets done with it!  She slants the brick stitches and elongates them and staggers them to leave room for beads.  (After all Ruth is all about the Bling!)  Very clever technique and one we all should use with stitches that aren't exactly what we want.

Halloween Bargello

Laura Perin has announced her newest design--"Halloween Bargello."  It's purple and orange and pumpkin and bats and more!   Since it is a charted piece, you can always switch to more fall colors if you are not a purple and orange lover.  I think it would be lovely in reds and oranges and browns myself.
