I never watched the Brady Bunch on tv but a lot of folks were fans. You might be interested in the recreation of the house that HGTV is doing this fall. One of the rooms has a little needlepoint pillow stitched by one of the original stars.

Many thanks to Kreinik and Beth Gantz for pointing this out.

There's a new designer in town who does the Appalachian mountains very very well-Blue Ridge Stitchery! The tulip poplar flower is awesome, too.

The local news just profiled Judy's Stitchery Nook in Harlington, Texas and the local Tip of Texas EGA chapter. They had Catherine Jordan come in and teach them a map class, too!

Here's Catherine's website so you can see other maps she has done. Explore a bit. She does amazing work, much of which I've had the pleasure of seeing on display at Woodlawn, and some is for sale.

Lampwork Beads from Grace Ma

I like lampwork beads. They are very very decorative, even when they are not made by the amazing Grace Ma. But when they are, they are lovely art.

Most of the big online bead stores sell Grace Beads in case you need the perfect embellishment.

If you've been curious about the K's metal floor frame, the Needlepointer has a three minute video showing you how it works. The adjustments are endless. I love mine! Hint: You can put the plate under a chair or table leg for more stability or you can put a brick or other sort of weight on it. Mine is very stable but if you move it a lot to constantly get up and down, you might want the extra security of something on the plate.
