Two Striped Cats (Patt and Lee)

Jan at StitchLady is stitching one of the iconic Patt and Lee pieces, the double striped cats.  Jan stitched this originally in the colors it was painted and had so much fun, she decided to stitch it again, this time in cat fur colors.  The first step is doing the black outlines of the two cats.

Jennifer Riefenberg's "Heron"

Jan of the Stitch Lady blog has just taken a pilot class from Jennifer Riefenberg.  This class will be offered at ANG's 2026 Seminar and the designer wanted a group of people to test drive the instructions.  Jan volunteered to work "Heron."  She's right--it is beautiful!

Painted Stitches Ribbon Sampler (Barbara Bergsten)

Jan at StitchLady's Adventures is going to stitch Barbara Bergsten's "Painted Stitches Ribbon Sampler."  This is a painted design on 14 count, so Jan will be using much thicker threads than I usually work.  (I'm an 18 count gal.)  So this is going to be very interesting!  You can see the unstitched canvas and the threads Jan will use in her first posting about this project.

Jan's next project will be a chart from Kathy Rees called "Cupid's Logs."   This design is based on a quilting interlocking log design.  She is choosing her own colors from her stash of Watercolours threads.

Magical Moose in Silk Ribbons

The design is on 18 count canvas and is meant to be stitched with two sizes of River Silks ribbons plus Kreinik ribbon.  It should be interesting to watch Jan as she works on it.  By the way, River Silks ribbons are my favorites.  It's a beautiful but durable silk ribbon available in 4mm, 7mm and 13 mm widths and a ton of colors, including overdyes.  I highly recommend it!
