March Themes

Nimble Needle in New Jersey posted a number of March-themed canvases on their blog. I never think of March as a sports month but of course it is with better weather and baseball's spring training, not to mention the college basketball tournament.   Whether you are into sports, rabbits or St. Paddy's Day, it's a good place to see a variety of canvases and other things to celebrate your favorites.

Tisha found the perfect tote for the show.  It looks like the perfect tote for a lot of situations, actually.  The tutto.com website is down right now but if you look at their cached page, you can see a bit more.  To find a cached page of a website that's down, search for them using Google.  Once you get results, put your cursor over the grayed out double arrows to the right of the search result.  When a website appears on the right, click on it.  Not every page is cached, but this is a good way to find information if the regular site is unavailable.

OT: Retirement

I'm not retiring, but my cousin is, since he's nearly 40.  He rose from life as a professor's son to head off to college financed by the kindness of someone named George Steinbrenner.  I've heard there was a bit of family drama when his grandmother, my acid-tongued aunt, wanted to invite Mr. Steinbrenner to Thanksgiving dinner as a thank-you, but we dodged that bullet and Brad actually had a baseball career of sorts.

Since he has the family gift of gab and is smarter than most of us (and we are all clever in my family), I hope to see him as a successful manager of a baseball club one day despite the obstacles so carefully skirted by his teammates in Houston in this farewell video.
