Uses for Brick Cover Canvases: The Movie

Heirloom Design Studio has posted an idea video on their Instagram on various ways to use brick cover designs.  For those who don't want to bother with an Instagram account, any brick covered in needlepoint can hold open that door, act as a bookend, paperweight, be part of a pretty tabletop tableaux, keep your recipe book open in the kitchen, be a tissue box with a slit cut in the middle, finished as a box, even act as a frame weight in a pinch.

A Tissue Box from a Brick Cover

Lycette Designs shows off one of their brick cover canvases creatively turned into a tissue box.

Her customer Rudy just drew a 3x1 inch rectangle in the middle of the top and didn't stitch that.  The finisher did the rest.

Peeking Through Joan's Window

Joan Eidman of Fiori shows off her studio during her annual thread sorting party.  Alas!  There don't seem to be refreshments but there is a great brick cover lion from Susan Roberts and three Melissa Shirley dragonflies.  There is also a pillow and a seat cover that I can barely see but I think are Joan's own designs.
