Christmas in July

Pocket Full of Stitches is just now getting around to posting about their annual Christmas ornamnet exchange.   As usual, all the ornaments are charming.

Every year Pocket Full of Stitches in Texas has an ornament exchange among the staff.

It's always great to see what this legendary shop* comes up with!

*I'm pretty sure they originated the monthly clubs so many shops offer now.

The SWAN Party Gift Exchange 2016 UPDATED

Every year Stephanie's local stitching guild has a gift exchange. Members draw names and exchange presents, usually Christmas ornaments. This year's set is particularly fun!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

UPDATE:  Lucky Steph shows off her SWAN exchange presents.

UPDATE #2:  Steph shows off the ornaments she's stitched and given away to her fellow SWANS.  I think it's nice to have everything in one article so you can admire all the talent in Stephanie's local guild.

Even though Christmas is in our rear view mirror now, I thought you'd like to see the traditional Christmas ornament exchange among the staff at Pocket Full of Stitches.

Another Wonderful Ornament Exchange

Many guilds do an ornament exchange for Christmas, but one shop--Pocket Full of Stitches--has their own exchange among the great folks who work at the shop. Take a look at the photos from their 2013 Christmas party?! There is a photo of each happy recipient and their ornament, plus a closeup of all but one of them AND they identify the designer so you can stitch one, too.

What fun!  Thanks for sharing, PFOS!

Carol's Ornament Exchange Party

Carol's stitching guild in Australia does a Christmas ornament exchange with a guild in England each year. We are lucky that this year Carol took a lot of photos this year. What fun!

Ornament Exchanges

I am not a big fan of ornament exchanges, or gift exchanges of any kind. They often go wrong, leaving nothing but hurt feelings. But when they go well, they are glorious!  Proof below in the Pocket Full of Stitches shop ornament exchange and then Stephanie's ornament gifts from her SWAN group.

Ornament Exchange One Stop Shopping

Scarlet Thread has gathered all sorts of fun items for ornament exchanges into one place on their website for those who need supplies for a quick stitch.   I don't do counted canvaswork very often but even I am tempted by that Threedles ornament star!
