If you absolutely positively do not want a new project from Santa this year, then how about a pretty new tote bag, a tool pouch, or a few tassels to brighten your stitching?

Ruth Schmuff always has wonderful project bags and fobs. Follow the link to see more color choices, then print out the page and circle your druthers and leave the page for Santa!

December Sales are Delightful
Labels:
Amy's Golden Strand,
Beth's Needlepoint Nook,
Needle Works,
sales,
shops
December is the best sale month of the year for needlepoint stitchers. This is when the shops put things on sale so they won't have to count them during their end of year inventories. Stephanie has already hit up Needle Works in Austin.
http://stephsstitching.blogspot.com/2013/12/its-on-like-donkey-kong.html
Make sure you check the Sales and Trunk Shows tab to keep up with the latest sales. Right now, the best sales I know about are at Needle Works (forty percent off in stock canvases and twenty percent off threads--books and some laying tools and current series not included in the sale),
http://theneedleworks.com
...and at Amy's Golden Strand (twenty-five percent off everything --stitch guides, special orders and Home Study classes are not part of the sale).

Needlenook of La Jolla has the Stella lights on sale and Homestead Needle Arts offers free shipping if you place an order of at least $50. Beth's Needlepoint Nook has a thirty-five percent off coupon in their e-newsletters to current customers. There is plenty more listing in Sales and Trunk Shows. But there are plenty of sales I don't know about. If you know of a great sale, please add it to the Comments section!

Rehoboth Beach Museum Exhibit for 2014
Labels:

Rehoboth Beach Museum
Thanks to Brenda, I know that the dates for the fourth Rehoboth Beach Historical Society Museum Needlework Exhibit are set for 2014. I can't find the exhibit entry form on the museum's website but perhaps I didn't look hard enough or perhaps they haven't posted the file yet. After all, the exhibit doesn't start until mid-March 2014!

Stay tuned for more information as the date draws closer. Thanks for the heads up, Brenda!

The First of the Month Newsletter Collection
It's the first of the month and you know what that means--shop newsletters! Not every shop does a newsletter, and not every shop releases their newsletter on Day One of the Month, but enough do that I thought I'd collect them all here in one place so you could have a happy browse between fits of holiday madness.
Amy's Golden Strand is full of Amy Bunger goodness and ideas for couching to get various effects. Hummmm. Wonder if my Russian Santa needs a coiled and couched beard? By the way, Amy's going to a bi-monthly newsletter in 2014. Please join me in weeping copious tears over six fewer fun messages from Amy next year!
http://www.amybunger.com/f/1213.pdf
Speaking of Russian Santas, Leigh Deigns has put out their latest newsletter. As always, it is full of the warm personality of Leigh herself and tidbits about her designs. (By the way, I know Leigh Designs isn't a shop but I thought you'd enjoy their newsletter, so I included it here.)

Bedecked and Beadazzled has a fun December newsletter for you today, too.
