Kevin Lustik Exhibit and Panel Discussion Tomorrow

Kevin Lustik is going to participate in a panel discussion about needle art tomorrow, June 13th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Manhattan (Soho) Mulberry Street library branch.

If you can't make the discussion, Kevin's original needlepoint is on display at the library but I'm not sure for how long.

Kevin's on Display UPDATED

If you live in NYC, you can visit an exhibit of Kevin Lusk's needlepoint at the Hudson Park Branch of the NY Public Library through the end of December.

Kevin does original (and hilarious) work that comments on topics of the day.  If you aren't going to be in New York in time to see his stitching, check out the slideshow above.

UPDATE:  Kevins stitching will be on display at the Jadite Galleries now until January 3, 2023.

Woolworks Needlepoint NYC

When we think about needlepoint in New York City, we think Manhattan with Annie's Needlepoint and Rita's Needlepoint.  But there is another little shop in Manhattan, one that has been around a while—Woolworks Needlepoint.  The shop specializes in traditional needlepoint in wool but...

…the shop also does custom designs.

I stumbled across this profile in the online version of New York Magazine.  It looks well worth a visit, particularly if you happen to be close to the Met.  Call before you drop in.  The shop appears to be on the second floor.

Madison Avenue Needlepoint

Thanks to Betsy's sharp eyes and quick camera, I discovered that Hermes's window display for May featured needlepoint.
