Breaking News: Kickass Needlepoint

Great news for Nashville needlepointers--a new store has opened on Hillwood Boulevard,  It's called Kickass Needlepoint and it's open Wednesdays through Sundays.  You can see the exact address, photos of the opening and their hours at their Instagram page.

Hope everyone in the area can get by to welcome them and buy a little something.  Your stash will thank you!

The Virtual Nashville Needlework Expo is On

Conventions and needleowrk markets have been turned upside down by the coronavirus but the usual March Nashville Expo for cross stitch and counted work is still going to be held, but in a different way.

Yarntree/Needlework Retailer are not going forward with a real show but Noteworthy Needle has picked up the ball and will sponsor a virtual market instead.  It's mostly cross stitch but some needlepoint folks attend, so if you are interested, designers or shops  can register at the website created for this special event.  Sorry, folks, this isn't open to the general public.

Let the shopping begin!

Thinking About Going to Market

Arlene Cohen of Works by ABC is a counted canvaswork and cross stitch designer who is just ramping up into being a pro.  As part of that process, she went to the Nashville Market in early March to stick her toe into how it all works.

Arlene is walking a path many a designer has gone, trying to go from single sales to a larger audience.  We wish her great success!

If you are curious about Arlene's work, don't miss exploring her website.  It's fascinating.  Here is the counted canvaswork section for starters.

Back from Nashville

Ada went to the Nashville Needleworks retreat and had a blast! See, even designers love retreats.

Debbie Goes to Nashville

TNNA's Nashville Market was last weekend. It's mostly cross stitch but the counted canvas designers are there, including Debbie Rowley of DebBee's Designs. She kindly wrote up a report about her experience.

I've added information from the Nashville Market at the top of the Winter TNNA tab but since I am not sure the counted folks know that, I am also including Debbie's information here.  Don't miss checking out her free counted design (right hand column) or the photo of her newest design, "Royal Garden," which is lovely!

By the way, many thanks to the counted canvaswork admirers who have been correctly and adding to the information included in the Counted Designers tab.  I couldn't have compiled all this without your help!

Nashville Market 2013

The TNNA trade show last February is just one of a series held each year. The Nashville show is mostly counted designs, particularly cross stitch, but there are some wonderful counted canvaswork designers who show there.  Quail Run has picked up a lot of goodies for you to count.  There's a new nylon thread, too.  It's called Twinkle.  Anyone seen it?

Speaking of new things, want to see the new scissors fobs from Papriki Pi that Needle Works has in stock?
