A Big Sale at CanvasesBeGone

I've pretty much stopped posting about sales and trunk shows since I think such messages just train folks to shop for the best price, not for the shop that will be there for them through thread emergencies, help them through idea droughts and generally help them get the canvases they want stitched to match their personal style. A New Scroll Frame From American Dream Products

Thanks to the Needlework Retailer, I know that American Dream Products has introduced two new scroll frames.

I don't like scroll frames myself for needlepoint canvas, but many folks swear by them.  If you do lots of stitching on linen as well as needlepoint canvas, a scroll frame is probably something you will be very interested in.  Here is the American Dream Products website so you can do a little more browsing.  They make floor frames, table frames and frames for your lap, carry accessories and also sell Ott lights and replacement bulbs.  Something for everyone, in other words.

A Trip to ABC Stitch Therapy

Sandy Arthur has been teaching here and there but luckily she takes time out from her students to visit some of the local shops.  This trip she visited ABC Stitch Therapy in the Houston suburbs.  Wish we'd all been there as it sounds like a fun visit.

The Blue Russian Has A Companion

Surprise! The Blue Russian has a companion piece!   Well, actually all the Russian Santas have companion designs.  Leigh Designs calls them The Winter Maidens.  There are eight Russian maidens, all the same size as the original Russian Santas (six inches on 18 count mono).  Leigh Designs just announced them on their website.  You can see all the new Winter Maiden designs here.

The Snow Maiden has BLING

I stitched the Snow Maiden, who is the most like the Blue Russian Santa.  You can see her above, either by herself or paired with the finished photo of my Blue Russian.  Both models will be hanging out at the Leigh Designs booth at the January trade show for the shops to visit.  

My stitch guide for Snow Maiden will be available shortly.  Guides for Silver Bells (Pat Miller),  Pretty Poinsettia (Sandy Arthur) and Woodlane Belle (me)  are in the works and should be available by the January TNNA show.
