The Belt That Is A Tray

Suzie at Enriched Stitch did something very clever--she stitched a belt and had it made into a tray!  That's a very clever idea.  Belt canvases are so versatile--they can be sandal straps, hat bands, purse straps and more.  But I had never thought of a tray.

Wonderful Finishing

Nimble Needle in New Jersey has just posted photographs of their latest batch of finished items that have returned from the finishers they use.   There are all sorts of special touches--like switching the color of cording on ornaments to outline a snowman's face in white.  You can see how even a few beads add weight to a piece, admire the ruching on eggs, or the tilt of a dreidel maintained by something heavy inside.  Karen shows off the acrylic trays from Kreative Koncepts which allow a small piece of needlepoint to be slid inside.  The stitching is fabulous, too.

New Styles of Trays for Needlework

Doodling Around Designs has a new style of tray to display your needlework. The stitching goes on the bottom to be covered by glass or an acrylic sheet to protect it and the trays themselves have high sides so you can serve items without fear of their sliding off the tray.  The finger holes on the sides to hold the tray are inventive shapes to match your personal style.
